Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) provides and documents professional nursing care to assigned patient population in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work. Participates in unit/organizational data collection, analysis, and review as well as process improvement work groups. Works with the Schools of Nursing to include serving as adjunct faculty and/or clinical instructor, if requested. Serves as the expert teacher/resource for assigned units/departments. Provides unit/department specific as well as Nursing/SRH wide educational offerings. Communicates findings as indicated to appropriate person(s). If employed in a dedicated stroke unit, critical care or the emergency room, must adhere to (meet) the requirements for educational hours as outlined in the NIAHO standards for Primary Stroke Center. Performs any other job related duties as requested by Department Director.
