About The Position

The Clinical Education Specialist is responsible for the planning, design and
implementation of education programs/services and professional development of
nurses in their assigned nursing specialty. Works closely with nursing directors
and/or department managers on the educational needs assessment and orientation
programs for staff, in the assigned specialty. Ensures that competencies and
skills are current and relevant for the nursing staff. Coordinates hospital-wide
educational programs presented through the Education Department and other
resources. Functions as a resource for educational issues throughout the
hospital. Prepares and maintains documents for all education plans and
implements and maintains all administrative processes.
