About The Position
The Clinical Education Specialist - Medical Assistant has a thorough knowledge base of the principles and scope of practice of medical assisting. Responsibilities include frequent interactions with management, licensed practitioners, and staff. Ongoing responsibilities require the mentoring and training of medical assistants during the onboarding process to ensure a standardized orientation, competency assessment and establishment of quality performance goals in the ambulatory practice setting to facilitate the delivery of quality patient care. The Clinical Education Specialist - Medical Assistant has a sound knowledge of physician practice workflows and maintains skills, documenting annual competency assessments and troubleshooting as necessary. Travel to multiple practice sites within the Broward Health System is required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Tech/Trade Certification in Medical Assisting
- Two Years of Experience
- Certified Medical Assistants
- Basic Life Support
- POC Training
- Phlebotomy
Responsibilities
