Identifies and engages internal and external collaborative partnerships for education. Responsible for ensuring that developed learning exemplifies the values and strategic direction of the health system. Evaluates and oversees learning delivery platforms to ensure robust and current content is available. Conducts an annual learning needs assessment and develops a plan to address improvements and unmet needs. Researches emerging trends, regulation and evidence-based practices in post-acute care and collaborates with appropriate team members to ensure educational resources are available to support successful outcomes. Develops and maintains outcome benchmarks related to departmental performance, quality outcomes, and relation to strategic goals. Oversees nurse aide training programs. Evaluates the effectiveness of clinical educational courses, workshops and other developmental interventions designed to address the educational needs of individuals and provides feedback to the responsible team member. Represents the health system in professional organizations and consults with professional experts for current state of practice and trends in the provision of quality services. Attends and participates in workshops, seminars, etc., to stay abreast of current c hanges in the field of clinical education and talent development, as well as to maintain professional licensure, certification, and status. Attends and participates in mandatory in-service training. Honors patient’s rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints. Complies with Corporate Compliance , Privacy and Security programs . Reports occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals in accordance with the organization’s procedural guidelines governing accidents/incidents. Follows established safety regulations when performing job tasks, to include fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc. Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication. Contributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System. Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.
