About The Position
The Clinical Education Coordinator at the College of Medicine plays a vital role in managing the administrative tasks associated with clinical rotations for LECOM's 3rd and 4th year medical students. The coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the office of clinical education, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. In this position, the Clinical Education Coordinator will promote and preserve the mission of LECOM by preparing schedules and documentation as directed by the director. This includes liaising with faculty and administrators, communicating promptly with students, faculty, and staff, and reserving teaching accommodations through the LECOM system. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining and updating word documents, transcribing case materials for electronic presentation, and processing examination data as needed. A thorough understanding of accreditation processes and institutional operations is crucial, as the coordinator will communicate effectively with affiliated organizations, consultants, and vendors. The role requires a professional demeanor and the ability to act as a departmental representative, maintaining confidentiality regarding student information and grades in accordance with applicable laws and institutional policies. The Clinical Education Coordinator will assist with various administrative tasks, including maintaining a filing system, processing correspondence, participating in interviews for administrative candidates, and ordering supplies. Overall, this position is integral to the smooth operation of the clinical education office and requires a proactive and organized individual who can handle multiple responsibilities with ease.
