About The Position
Our CDI team is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist to join their team. You will be reviewing NICU and Well Baby medical records for accuracy, educating health professionals on documentation processes, and participating in team meetings and projects. The Clinical Documentation Specialist is responsible for reviewing medical records to facilitate the accurate representation of the severity of illness by improving the quality of the physician and mid-level providers' clinical documentation. This involves extensive record review and education interaction with physicians and other applicable clinicians, Health Information Management professionals, and nursing staff. Active participation in team meetings and education of staff in the Clinical Documentation Integrity Program process is a key role.
