The Health Information Department focuses on documentation quality and data accuracy. A Clinical Documentation Specialist is responsible for concurrent review of the clinical documentation in the medical records and query of the medical staff and other caregivers as necessary via prompters/verbal communication to obtain accurate and complete documentation which appropriately supports the severity of patient illness and evidence-based patient care. This position does not provide direct patient care. The department works closely with Medical Staff Services and Clinical Risk Management. The Clinical Documentation Specialist position has an hourly base rate of $35.04, annualized to $72,883. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. This position requires working Monday through Friday; 20 weekly hours, between the hours of 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. 100% remote.
