The Clinical Documentation Specialist RN is a key member of a regional team focused on enhancing the quality, completeness, and accuracy of medical record documentation. This role involves analyzing clinical information to identify gaps in physician documentation, ensuring that patient records are comprehensive and meet regulatory standards. The position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while contributing to patient care and documentation improvement.

  • Analyze clinical information to identify gaps in physician documentation.
  • Facilitate improvement in the overall quality and accuracy of medical record documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance documentation practices.
  • Provide education and support to clinical staff regarding documentation standards.
  • Review and assess medical records for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent (MD graduate accepted).
  • Unencumbered Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • 5 years of recent acute care experience in adult acute, critical care, or strong medical/surgical settings.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience with a variety of patient populations and care delivery models.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with physicians and hospital management.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
