Requirements
- Associates Nursing or Bachelor's in Health Science or Doctorate in Medicine.
- Minimum 2 yearsâ experience in an acute care setting as a Clinical Documentation Specialist.
- Strong understanding of clinical coding and billing rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Proficient in data analysis and Microsoft Office applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform CDI/Coding audits to improve financial and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare educational materials for providers.
- Conduct real-time audits of documentation to identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide feedback to the CDI team on documentation accuracy.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
