About The Position

Renewal Health Group is currently looking for a Clinical Director for our substance abuse and mental health PHP/IOP program located in Encino, CA! This role provides clinical leadership, ensures regulatory and documentation compliance, drives quality of care, and supports the multidisciplinary team serving clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health diagnoses.

Requirements

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the provision of clinical mental health direct services, including experience providing clinical supervision and managing the administrative aspects of an upper level management role
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a medium-to-large (40-60 bed) residential or outpatient treatment center.
  • Able to maintain professional boundaries with clients, staff, and visitors.
  • Strong attention to detail, well organized and a commitment to treating others with respect.
  • Able to think outside the box and develop therapeutic approaches when crises arise
  • Willing to work to support the overall mission of the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, multi-task, crisis oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team to ensure that the highest quality and most relevant aspects of the job and services are provided to clients.
  • Ability to adhere to strict standards of confidentiality.
  • Ability to be on site 40 hours a week at our facility in Encino, CA.
  • Current independent licensure in the State of California approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight, supervision and quality assurance of all clinical services including both record keeping and direct services.
  • Ensure clinical services are in compliance with county, sate and federal regulatory agencies and internal policies.
  • Lead and supervise clinical staff and develop, implement and evaluate clinical operations
  • Address escalated clinical concerns and support team in crisis intervention, response, and safety planning.
  • Review treatment plans, assessments, case notes and written correspondence in order to verify documentation meets compliance and timelines standards.
  • Maintain program outcomes tracking and continuous performance improvement initiatives
  • Act as a liaison with community providers and referral agencies serving clients as needed.
  • Conduct weekly treatment team meetings and clinical trainings.
  • Serve as a liaison to the medical/professional staff to ensure matters of clinical importance are conveyed to the treatment team.
  • Ensures treatment planning is clinically appropriate and comprehensive.
  • Support determining potential intake clinical appropriateness and level of care.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.
