About The Position

Specialized Education Services, Inc. The School Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing and guiding the clinical programs within the school district, ensuring that high-quality, evidence-based services are available to support the mental health and well-being of students. This leadership role involves managing clinical staff, developing policies and procedures, coordinating with external partners, and directly contributing to program development and evaluation.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, School Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Valid clinical licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, Psychologist) as required by state and district regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical practice within educational settings, preferably with leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic practices in a school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Program Leadership: Develop, implement, and continuously improve clinical services tailored to the needs of the student population.
  • Ensure that programs align with current best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Staff Supervision & Development: Provide leadership and supervision to clinical staff, including counselors, social workers, school psychologists, and other mental health professionals.
  • Organize and facilitate ongoing professional development, training sessions, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of clinical care.
  • Policy & Procedure Management: Develop and update clinical policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Establish clear guidelines for crisis intervention, confidentiality, and ethical clinical practice.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as the primary liaison between clinical staff, school administrators, teachers, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and healthcare providers to expand service offerings and resources.
  • Program Evaluation & Quality Assurance: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of clinical programs through regular data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Adjust programming based on feedback, outcomes, and emerging needs to enhance student support and overall program impact.
  • Direct Clinical Support (as needed): Provide direct clinical services or consultation to students in complex cases, ensuring a hands-on approach to service delivery where appropriate.
