About The Position

The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall leadership, quality, and integrity of clinical services at America’s Rehab Campus (ARC). This role provides oversight of all clinical programming across Detox, Residential, and IOP levels of care, ensuring services are delivered in compliance with ADHS, Joint Commission, and payer requirements. The Clinical Director leads clinical staff, ensures medical necessity, supports program development, and promotes a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high-quality client care. This position is partnered with Executive Leadership to guide clinical operations and maintain regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field required
  • Independently Licensed in Arizona (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Experience in residential treatment programs required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • CPR/FA Certification – to be obtained within first 30 days
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card – have current card or show proof of applying within 7 days from hire date
  • Handle with Care – to be obtained within first 30 days
  • Successful clearance of pre-employment criminal/county/state background check
  • Successful clearance of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Successful clearance of TB PPD testing upon hire and annual screening of TB symptoms
  • Attending clinical oversight with BHP once every 2 weeks worked for a minimum of 2 sessions per month.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all clinical services and programming
  • Ensure delivery of evidence-based, trauma-informed care across all levels of care
  • Oversee clinical documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Ensure compliance with ADHS, Joint Commission, and insurance requirements
  • Monitor and support medical necessity and level-of-care determinations
  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and development for clinical staff
  • Participate in hiring, training, performance management, and corrective action processes
  • Oversee program schedules, therapeutic modalities, and service delivery
  • Collaborate with Nursing, Medical, and Operations teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Participate in leadership meetings, staffing, and treatment team reviews
  • Support audits, surveys, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and clinical service delivery
  • Oversee utilization review processes and insurance coordination
  • Address escalated clinical concerns, risk issues, and crisis situations
  • Support client transitions between levels of care to ensure continuity
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for clients and staff
  • Promote client engagement and successful treatment outcomes
