About The Position

The Clinical Director will lead and oversee the clinical operations within a behavioral health setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based mental health services. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical programs that meet regulatory standards and address the diverse needs of clients. The Clinical Director will provide expert clinical supervision and guidance to a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. They will also be responsible for strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and ethical standards. Ultimately, the Clinical Director will drive the organization's mission to improve mental health outcomes through innovative and compassionate care.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related mental health field.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychologist, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical programming, case management, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health laws, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance requirements in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with diverse populations and in various clinical settings such as outpatient, inpatient, or community-based programs.
  • Certification or specialized training in family therapy, group therapy, or anger management interventions.
  • Experience with quality improvement frameworks and data-driven clinical outcomes measurement.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical documentation standards.
  • Advanced leadership training or certification in healthcare management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the needs of a 24/7 facility by maintaining flexibility in scheduling to address program demands, staff needs, and patient care priorities.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to therapists, counselors, and case managers to ensure effective treatment delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical programs and protocols that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee case management processes to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions as needed, including specialized interventions such as anger management.
  • Collaborate with administrative leadership to establish clinical goals, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable mental health laws, ethical guidelines, and accreditation standards.
  • Lead training and professional development initiatives to enhance staff competencies and clinical skills.
  • Engage with community partners and stakeholders to promote integrated behavioral health services and expand program reach.
