About The Position

Chattanooga Pain Surgery Center is seeking a seasoned and motivated Clinical Director to join our dynamic team. We are a fast-paced, ambulatory surgery center dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and fostering an outstanding experience for patients and their families. About the Role: As Clinical Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the operating room, implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, and elevate the patient experience. Reporting to the Administrator, you will collaborate to ensure fiscal accountability, develop and refine policies, and assess staff performance. Your leadership will include managing staff credentialing, driving safety measures, handling risk management, and utilizing your clinical expertise to improve outcomes. Experience in OR and pre/postoperative care is essential. At USPI, we create relationships that create better care. Requirements

  • Proven experience as clinical director or other managerial position preferred.
  • Current RN license REQUIRED
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Operating room RN experience required
  • Experience in clinical supervision and program management
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, resourcing and performance evaluation procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of standards (e.g. ISO) and regulations for the clinical field
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer systems (e.g. patient management software)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
  • Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an ambulatory surgery center is ideal
  • PACU experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for clinical excellence and departmental growth.
  • Oversee budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Plan and manage patient care operations and administrative programs.
  • Recruit and retain qualified personnel to maintain staffing needs.
  • Assign cases and create employee schedules.
  • Assist in the OR as required.
  • Supervise and provide feedback to staff, promoting professional development.
  • Offer clinical training opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor compliance with legal standards, internal policies, and quality benchmarks.
