About The Position

The team: The Clinical Director is a leader of the Patient Care team, the team at the heart of day to day patient care. At Origin, the Patient Care team is supported by all other teams (think of Patient Care being at the heart of what we do) and supports patients through their healing experience at Origin from start to finish. The role: Specifically, the Clinical Director is responsible for holistic business leadership of their clinic and partnered with all Clinic Directors in the success of the clinics nationwide. They lead a team of Physical Therapists, Clinic Coordinators and a Senior Clinic Coordinator. You must currently be a licensed Physical Therapist.

Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas
  • Strong interest in pelvic floor physical therapy

Responsibilities

  • Performing the tasks associated with the duties and responsibilities of a Physical Therapist
  • Deliver and sustain performance across core operational and cultural metrics, including: Visit volume targets, Utilization percentage goals, EBITDA and financial contribution targets, Patient satisfaction and Net Promoter Scores, Staff engagement, retention, and turnover metrics
  • Proactively identify performance gaps and escalate issues promptly
  • Implement timely interventions and address problems early to protect team morale and patient care quality
  • Lead and execute strategic initiatives that drive clinical, operational, and financial improvement.
  • Implement and champion new programs and pilots such as smart billing, prescription workflow improvements, and marketing pilots.
  • Drive innovation and best practice sharing across clinics through experimentation and scalable process improvements.
  • Lead change management during clinic growth, process improvement, or reorganization.
  • Proactively surface ideas and solutions that support Origin’s mission and business objectives.
  • Serve as part of the national Clinical Leadership Team, providing leadership and support to peer clinics and satellite locations.
  • Mentor and onboard new Clinical Directors, Lead Physical Therapists, and other emerging leaders.
  • Represent Origin in the community via provider relations, educational partnerships, and patient outreach.
  • Full P&L ownership and accountability for clinic financial results.
  • Analyze financial and operational reports to inform decision-making.
  • Identify and pursue revenue growth opportunities (e.g., improving evaluation conversion, maximizing scheduling).
  • Control expenses through effective management of labor ratios, supply costs, and operational efficiencies.
  • Use data-driven approaches to forecast needs, optimize hiring, and drive performance improvements.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance clinic culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Lead effective team meetings and daily stand-ups to ensure strong alignment and information sharing.
  • Provide regular individual coaching, recognition, and feedback to support staff development and retention.
  • Build psychological safety and high trust within the team.
  • Communicate consistently and transparently about goals, priorities, expectations, and results.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members to ensure a high-quality, mission-aligned staff.
  • Develop a pipeline of future clinical leaders by mentoring current providers and overseeing students placed in the clinic.
  • Support professional growth and advancement opportunities through regular feedback, career development planning, and facilitating educational and leadership experiences for the team
  • Proactively managing the business, resulting in a profitable P&L
  • Supporting the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of Physical Therapists and Clinic Coordinators
