About The Position

Liberty Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Director to oversee our award-winning Jail Based Competency Treatment program at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA - the largest of its kind in the State of California. This groundbreaking program provides court-mandated forensic assessments, psychiatric stabilization, and competency restoration services to patients deemed incompetent to stand trial in San Bernardino County. Ideally located within a 1 to 2-hour drive of Los Angeles, San Diego, and Palm Springs, this position offers a unique leadership opportunity in forensic mental health with the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.

Requirements

  • Licensed (or license eligible) as a Psychologist in California
  • Experience conducting forensic evaluations
  • Ability to lead others

Responsibilities

  • Managing a multidisciplinary team of professionals
  • Implementing quality improvement initiatives to ensure patients receive high quality forensic mental health services
  • Facilitating treatment team meetings
  • Guiding treatment planning
  • Building collaborative relationships with county and state partners
  • Conducting comprehensive competence evaluations
  • Formulating treatment plans
  • Writing reports
  • Providing court testimony
