The best in the field, dietitians at NewYork-Presbyterian use medical nutrition therapy to treat patients while participating in and enhancing preventative and community based care. We’re respected members of the dynamic multidisciplinary care team, engaging daily with medical team members in direct patient care provision. Clinical Nutritionist - Registered Dietitian - Cornell - Inpatient Units - Full Time - Day Shift As a Clinical Dietitian, you will provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or caregivers based on assessment of individual needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to educate staff and develop nutrition treatment programs to ensure optimal nutritional care, in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. In addition, participate in patient care rounds, performance improvement programs, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and performs other related duties as assigned. This is a full time, day shift position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of an ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) within 6 months
  • Certification by the State of New York as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist
  • NYS certification within 12 months
  • all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

  • Master’s Degree
  • 1 year of acute care experience
