A Clinical Dietitian is an expert in human nutrition and medical nutrition therapy. The Clinical Dietitian assesses nutritional status of patients based on their individualized needs and goals and develops and implements corresponding nutrition care plans. The role of the Clinical Dietitian is to evaluate current nutrition status, formulate interventions, reassess for changes and record ongoing nutritional progress. The Clinical Dietitian is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, and helping patients and their support system to ensure patient-centered care is achieved.

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food Science or Nutrition
  • Credentialed Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian eligible through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Illinois and Michigan) or must become registered within 6 months of hire.
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist eligible (Illinois)
  • Basic Microsoft application proficiency
  • Previous experience with patients in a group or individual setting
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing
  • License Certified diabetes educator
  • 1 year experience working with patients in a group or individual setting
