Expectations: The Clinical Dietitian must meet the legal requirement, satisfactory completion of an examination, approved by Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) the credentialing agency of the American Dietetic Association. The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for patient care activities including but not limited to the following: provide Medical Nutrition Therapy, provision of nutritional and dietary counseling (modified diets and Food and Drug interactions), conducting of nutritional and dietary assessments, and development of nutritional and dietary treatments, including therapeutic diets. The Clinical Dietitian participates in the department and hospital Performance Improvement activities, serves as a liaison between nursing units and the department, and performing other duties as assigned. This position may require flexibility of hours.
