About The Position

St. Peter’s Health Partners – Heritage House - Troy, NY - Clinical Dietitian - Part Time Day shift - (12-16 hours/week) Heritage House located in Troy, NY and a member of St. Peter’s Health Partners is looking for Part Time clinical dietitian to oversee the nutrition management of all patients in assigned areas which involves nutritional assessment and care plan development. Responsible for medical record documentation accordance with defined policy and procedure, provision of patient, family and community education, consultation to medical and nursing staff on clinical nutrition and food service issues Completion of required in-servicing on patient nutritional management. Appropriate practice of infection control measures i.e. response to isolation precautions, direction of food service staff as needed. Electronic Menu system utilization and management, participation in food and nutrition management activities such as test trays and meal rounds as requested. We are looking for a committed clinical dietitian with good interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in helping individuals. Previous dietitian experience and NYS Dietitian/Nutritionist certification is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
  • Completion of Dietetic Internship
  • Registered by ADA
  • Read, write and speak English at a minimum 6th grade level
  • (a dietitian eligible for registration would be considered but registration must occur within the first 90 days of employment)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dietitian experience and NYS Dietitian/Nutritionist certification is preferred.
