Assesses the nutritional status of patients, formulates a care plan, coordinates its implementation, and evaluates its impact and effectiveness. Provides nutrition education to patients/families. Approves supplements as appropriate and assists in the development of a hospital formulary appropriate to the patient population.

Requirements

Registered Dietitian Required (CMS requirement).
One year healthcare experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Provides appropriate patient nutritional care.
Assesses the nutritional status of patients, formulates a care plan, coordinates its implementation, and evaluates its impact and effectiveness.
Provides nutrition education to patients/families.
Approves supplements as appropriate and assists in the development of a hospital formulary appropriate to the patient population.
