About The Position

The Clinical Dietitian, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, assesses, plans, implements, documents, and evaluates the education and specialized nutrition needs of hospitalized patients using established standards of care. The RD in this classification works in the inpatient adult and/or pediatric setting to provide nutrition care for patients with a wide range of clinical problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Food Science, Nutrition Services, or related field - Required
• Professional Internship Dietetic Internship - Required
• RD Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration - Required or RD-Eligible - Registered Dietitian Credential - Commission on Dietetic Registration - passes R.D. within 80 days of registration
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal management skills with the ability to lead and collaborate on teams.
• Demonstrate excellent mentoring and teaching skills.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree Nutrition, Healthcare Administration, or related field - Preferred
• 1 year Healthcare - Acute Care Preferred
