About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our transplant team at WellStar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, GA. This 517-bed adult hospital is a Level 1 Trauma academic hospital with 68 adult critical care beds (Trauma, MICU, ICU, Neurology ICU and CVICU). This full-time outpatient role supports the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program, providing comprehensive nutrition care to transplant candidates and recipients. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure continuity of care and compliance with CMS guidelines. The ideal candidate will be proactive, innovative, and committed to elevating nutrition practice through quality improvement and research initiatives. Sign On Bonus is Available! Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and Georgia state licensure
  • 1 year of clinical experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in transplant nutrition and outpatient care preferred
  • Familiarity with CMS Conditions of Participation for transplant programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct full nutrition assessments for transplant candidates and recipients
  • Provide individualized post-transplant education prior to discharge, regardless of patient location
  • Attend interdisciplinary rounds and donor selection meetings
  • Document care in EPIC using transplant-specific templates
  • Participate in outpatient team meetings and cross-coverage planning
  • Mentor dietetic interns and contribute to educational rotations
