About The Position

Under minimal supervision, the clinical dietitian is responsible for the development of nutrition care plans by assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, discontinuing and documenting care. The clinical dietitian is able to write orders for nutrition interventions independently. The clinical dietitian works closely with the healthcare team and supports the inpatient and outpatient areas across the system as delineated. The clinical dietitian provides direction to students, interns, and dietetic technicians as well as education to the community. The clinical dietitian participates in medical team and department activities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years' experience with direct patient care is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics or a Bachelor's degree plus a certification in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics is required.
  • Completion of an ACEND approved internship or coordinated undergraduate program is required.
  • Current Registered Dietitian is required or must be registry eligible.
  • Current Registered Dietitian must also be a State of Wisconsin Certified Dietitian within three months of the date of hire or transfer.
  • If registry eligible, must become a Registered Dietitian within six months of the date of hire or transfer and become a State of Wisconsin Certified Dietitian within three months after obtaining registration.
