About The Position

Under minimal supervision, provides medical nutrition therapy to individuals and groups for nutrition-related problems, chronic disease management, prevention and well-being. The dietitian is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, discontinuing and documenting the nutrition plan of care. This individual demonstrates competency and adheres to clinic specific protocols and workflows to deliver care. The dietitian participates in compliance and quality improvement efforts to improve nutrition care provided throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition program is required.
  • Completion of an ACEND approved internship or coordinated undergraduate program is required.
  • Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is required or must be registration eligible.
  • Current RDN must also be a State of Wisconsin Certified Dietitian or show proof of application for certification within 60 days of hire or transfer.
  • If registration eligible, must become pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) national registration exam to achieve RDN status within six months of the date of hire or transfer and show proof of application for State of Wisconsin certification within 60 days of obtaining registration.

  • A minimum of two years of experience with direct patient care is preferred.
