About The Position

Overview: Job Description Summary: Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums. Job Description: Essential Functions: Examines patients' teeth and gums to diagnose dental conditions and plan appropriate treatments. Cleans teeth, removes plaque, and applies fluoride treatments to prevent cavities and other dental problems. Repairs or extracts decayed or damaged teeth, fills cavities, and fits crowns or bridges to restore patients' oral health. Educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and recommends dental care products to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Keeps accurate records of patients' dental history, treatment plans, and progress. Manages and supervises dental assistants and hygienists to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Requirements

  • DDS/DMD degree or international equivalent, required.
  • Dental license in the State of Ohio, required.
  • Certificate from a CODA-accredited advanced education program in pediatric dentistry, required.
  • Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality and collaborations among members of the division and the hospital.
  • Genuine willingness to put the safety and needs of the child first in a culturally diverse, clinical care setting.
