Clinical Data Specialist
About The Position
Cortina is seeking a Clinical Data Specialist to provide subject matter expertise and conduct data management and analysis related to military medical systems, patient treatment protocols and expeditionary medical treatment facility operations as a part of our Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) team. The Clinical Data Specialist evaluates tasks required by patient conditions and the types and amounts of supplies required per clinical task. They update and manage clinical and supply databases with special attention to detail and evaluate data for changes and outliers, and resolve data discrepancy issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics related Field OR Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics-related field.
- Clinical knowledge required
- This is a remote position, with occasional requests for face-to-face meetings at the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) in San Diego, CA. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) in San Diego, CA.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Military expeditionary experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Uniformed Services allowance standards, Defense Health Agency data systems, Defense Logistics Agency data systems such as Medical Contingency Requirements Workflow (MCRW).
- Experience with medical research or medical data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of data validation, quality control, documentation processes.
- Experience with expeditionary medical planning, operations, and logistics.
- Familiarity with patient treatment protocols.
- Experience with triage procedures for mass casualty events.
- Experience with medical readiness, manpower, or logistic data systems.
