Clinical Data Analyst

Qualified Health
1d$130,000 - $165,000Hybrid

About The Position

Qualified Health is seeking a Clinical Data Analyst to act as the bridge between the clinical world and the data engineering world. You translate clinical concepts — diagnoses, procedures, encounters, orders, billing workflows — into precise EHR data mappings, queries, and specifications that our entire integration and product layer depends on. Every agentic workflow we deploy, every AI-driven insight we surface for a health system partner, starts with the data foundations you define. When our revenue cycle agents identify optimization opportunities or our care gap workflows flag patients who need follow-up, it's your mappings that ensure the right data reaches the right model at the right time. You'll work across multiple health system partners, navigating the real variations in how each institution configures their EHR, structures their data, and defines their clinical workflows. As our mapping analyst team grows, the most senior analyst will set the standards, build the reusable mapping library, and ensure consistency across the group.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working with EHR data models (Epic Clarity/Caboodle are strongly preferred)
  • Clinical Data: deep understanding of encounters, orders, diagnoses, procedures and billing
  • Strong SQL skills: able to write and optimize complex analytical queries
  • Able to translate clinical or operational requirements into technical data specifications
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain data findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, Data Analytics, Statistics, Public Health, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED)
  • Experience working with multiple health system data teams and understanding institutional data variations
  • Background in EHR implementation, clinical informatics, or health system analytics
  • Experience building reusable documentation, data dictionaries, or mapping libraries
  • Clinical Fluency: You speak both the clinical and technical languages — you can discuss a care gap measure with a quality director and then write the SQL to pull the underlying data
  • Pattern Recognition: Ability to identify commonalities and variations across health systems' EHR configurations and document them in a way that accelerates future mappings
  • Documentation Rigor: Strong documentation habits — your mappings are clear enough that another analyst can pick them up without ambiguity
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You work effectively with engineers, product managers, and clinical stakeholders alike
  • Analytical Mindset: Natural inclination to validate, question, and verify — you don't trust data at face value

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain clinical-to-EHR data mappings for agentic workflow products across revenue cycle, care gap optimization, and quality registry abstraction
  • Translate clinical and operational concepts into specific table/column-level data specifications
  • Build and maintain a reusable mapping library to reduce per-partner mapping effort and accelerate deployments
  • Support integration engineers with partner-specific data nuances and EHR configuration differences
  • Support data modernization engagements with source data assessment and data quality evaluation
  • Validate data extracts against clinical expectations and flag mapping gaps
  • Collaborate with Product Data Engineering on data spec development for new workflows
  • Document mapping decisions, clinical data assumptions, and institutional variations

Benefits

  • competitive salaries with equity packages
  • robust medical/dental/vision insurance
  • flexible working hours
  • hybrid work options
  • inclusive environment that fosters creativity and innovation
