We are passionate about reaching and renewing lives by restoring hope that change is possible.  The Incumbent’s primary duty is the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge acquired during a four-year degree course of instruction; and requires the incumbent to consistently exercise discretion and judgment in applying their advanced knowledge. Under regular supervision of Program Manager, counsels and aids individuals and families requiring assistance dealing with substance use/misuse problems, by performing the following duties for adolescent, young adult, and/or adult patients. Position Logistics Full-time, 34-hour work week (4 days a week) Routinely 8:00 am – 5:00 pm shifts Monday – Thursday. Daytime and evening hours are required, with a flex schedule as approved by the supervisor. Hiring salary range: $48,000 - $63,000 (Level and compensation will be commensurate with experience and licensure.) We are open to hiring as a Clinical Counselor II, III or IV. Level and compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in human service field and experience in performing the essential duties of the position for substance use/misuse populations are preferred. Licensure and/or certification are highly desired.
  • Certified as an Advanced/Alcohol and Drug Counselor through Addiction Professionals of South Carolina, or able to complete the certification process within the required timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
  • Develops and maintains individualized treatment plans.
  • Manages and monitors patient progress, identifies patient needs, and maintains all clinical records through independent work as well as treatment team engagement.
  • Provides individual, family, group, and crisis intervention counseling services. Provides coverage for patient care as needed.
  • Provides case consultation and case management services to assure comprehensive quality care of a patient.
  • Participates in regular clinical supervision.
  • Provides assessments as needed.
  • Assists with POE duties to ensure timely access to assessments
  • Attends all required meetings and training sessions
  • Other duties as assigned
