About The Position

Join the compassionate and skilled team at Mayflower Recovery. Opened in 2021, Mayflower Detox offers state-of-the-art addiction treatment, staff, facilities and amenities in Wilmington, MA. We are an ATS (detox) and CSS residential program, serving those that suffer with the disease of addiction. We are looking for a full-time, experienced addiction counselor for Thursday to Monday, 11AM-7 PM. You are able to consistently prioritize patient care, confidentiality, documentation, and best addiction therapy practices. Requirements

• A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in chemical dependency - psychiatric setting.
• Working knowledge of a 12-step treatment model.
• KIPU documentation experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Licensed, Licensed Intern, or Certified by the State preferred.
• Master's level education may be substituted for licensure.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities as directed by the attending physician and Clinical Director.
• Provide group and individual therapy in accordance with BSAS regulations.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan meetings.
• Facilitate group therapy in accordance with BSAS regulations.
• Perform individual therapy with patient/family.
• Document the assessment of patient progress/regress and interventions provided in the medical record, on an ongoing basis.
• Recognize, respond to, and assist in psychiatric crisis situations and provide the intervention necessary.
• Respond and assist in medical emergency situations as directed and needed.
• Provide patients with education and instruction on Advance Directives.
• Responsible for continued education in the field of Chemical Dependency.
• Maintain strong understanding of Clinical Note writing in DAP format.
