About The Position

Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Clinical Coordinator to help those suffering from addictions to opioids and other illicit substances gain access to care. In this clinically focused behavioral health role, you’ll work mostly from home, except for at least one day a week when you’ll travel to your assigned clinic in the Phoenix metro area. Requirements

  • Associate Level License (LAC) or higher (required)
  • Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field (required)
  • At least two years of experience in counseling
  • Ability to travel to assigned CMS sites at least once a week
  • Is local to the Phoenix metro area. We’ll need you in the clinic at least once a week.
  • Loves paperwork.
  • Is comfortable carrying a caseload of individual clients based on clinical need.
  • Can maintain behavioral health licensure, completing all required documents in required time frames as required by a BHP for assigned location(s).
  • May need supervised clinical hours to gain a degree, license, or professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Behavioral Health Licensed Professional, such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Managing paperwork
  • Carrying a caseload of individual clients based on clinical need
  • Assisting with intakes, discharges, coordination of care, counseling, or other clinical needs of clients
  • Maintaining behavioral health licensure, completing all required documents in required time frames as required by a BHP for assigned location(s)
  • Reviewing documentation of peer support specialists and clinicians’ service plans and assessments
  • Working with the Quality Management Coordinator to respond to grievances, appeals, complaints, and critical incidents such as incident, accident, or death reports
  • Demonstrating sufficient knowledge and understanding of human behavior and of general mental health issues, treatment planning, and the field of human social services
  • Working with the Clinical Supervisor to ensure all appropriate professional standards and requirements are maintained as directed by the local, CARF, state, and federal agencies
  • Being available to offer leadership and cooperation to clients and community providers in the development of clinical effective services
  • Working cooperatively with the members of senior management to implement training programs for staff and for meeting regulatory agency guidelines
