The Practice Clinical Coordinator supervises clinical and clerical office staff. Coordinates patient flow, assists with patient triage and performs routine nursing duties as required. Oversees clinical responsibilities of the nursing staff, including:petency monitoring, quality improvement, training and education. Performs quality assurance audits as directed. Monitor ordering of supplies and equipment maintenance in a financially, responsible manner. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees performance of clinical staff members in coordination with Practice Manager and providers Maintain high level ofpetence on Physician Billingputer system Takes active role in facilitation team approach to functions within the department Actively participates as a team member in resolution of problems as they are identified analyzes current procedures, bringing suggestions for improvement to the attention of team members and supervisor for consideration Maintains patient, provider and staff schedules Manages all aspects of billing and revenue cycle and carries out Network directives to insurancepliance with all federal and local regulations pertaining to all areas of business and clinical practices Continually monitors adnce to policies and procedures by all staff Conducts monthly office staff meetings with Practice Manager Supervises nursing staff clinical performance, identifies and conducts training Develops treatment protocols and insures uniform performance by nursing staff Maintains practice's Policy and procedure Manual, including Blood Borne Pathogens OSHA, sterilization procedures and logs and patient emergency response procedures PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours at a time). Requires continual use of fingers for patient care, writing and handling patient charts. Routine use of upper extremities; occasional requirement to lift items up to 25 pounds. Occasional requirement to push supply cart weighing up to 30 pounds, and wheelchair with patient weighing up to 325 pounds. Regularly requires ability to stoop, bend and reach above shoulder level. Requires ability to hear normal conversation, and good general, near and peripheral vision. EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; holds a current R.N. licensure in P.A, NJ licensure is suggested. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: One year recent experience in a physician practice; supervisory experience; knowledge of managed care, federal and state regulations and guidelines. Current CPR required.
