Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. The Clinical Coordinator RN will be vital in providing specialized wound care and assessments, patient admission assessments, and discharge assessments at UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Hospital. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this position focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, coordinating with case management, the charge nurse and staff nurse, and the therapy department to ensure a seamless patient experience from admission to discharge. The Clinical Coordinator RN, in collaboration with the charge nurse, will assist in patient room assignments to provide well-divided patient acuity levels across the nursing units.

Requirements

  • Associate of nursing or higher from an accredited nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas and good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing
  • ACLS
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care and patient assessments

Nice To Haves

  • Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) certification
  • Previous experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting
  • Experience in case management coordination
