Requirements

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy Required
  • 5 years of experience, preferable in a hospital setting Required
  • Experience with research and analysis of data Preferred
  • Current licensure in the State of Georgia in applicable field of study Upon Hire Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Clinical Specialty Cert through the APTA Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, updates, and revises the ICU program.
  • Providing competency assessments and educational/training sessions for staff as well as establishing best practice protocols.
  • Having a working knowledge of all aspects of procedures for their specific discipline, as well as policies.
  • Serving on committees for program planning.
  • Providing care for a designated group of ICU patients, including evaluations, modalities, and treatments.
  • Responsible for the care of patients treated by residents, therapist assistants, technicians, students, and observers.
  • Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
  • Coordinates the Cardiopulmonary Residency program.
  • Serves as the PHI Therapy coordinator.
