Requirements

• An associate degree or higher in Medical Assisting, Healthcare, or a related field.
• Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through an accredited certifying body.
• At least 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience with clinical coordination or program management in a healthcare or academic setting.
• Experience in developing educational materials or curriculum for clinical training programs.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify immunization records from students to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Provide guidance on required assessments and ensure students meet eligibility criteria by gathering results.
• Track and verify completion of required classes and prerequisites for students, ensuring academic records are accurate.
• Oversee the coordination and tracking of student drug screening processes, ensuring proper placement and documentation of results.
• Manage clinical site logs, ensuring accurate documentation of student placements, clinical hours, and site requirements.
• Check, verify, and ensure that all necessary documentation is submitted and meets program standards.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure all prerequisites and documentation meet program and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with clinical facilities to ensure smooth communication and coordination of student placements.
• Provide hands-on instruction and mentorship to students in clinical settings, developing their practical skills in medical assisting.
• Work with faculty to develop, revise, and update curriculum materials, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
• Offer academic and career guidance to students, helping them navigate their learning path.
• Assess student performance during clinical rotations, providing timely feedback and evaluations.
