About The Position

Requirements

• Required Education: HS Graduate or Equivalent GED for both LPN and MA roles.
• Required Credentials for LPN: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) from Florida Department of Health.
• Required Experience for LPN: 3 years LPN and 1 year in a Lead Role; Preferred: 3 years in a Physician Practice.
• Required Certification or Licensure for MA: RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), CMA (Medical Assistant), EMT, or NREMT (Nationally Recognized Emergency Medical Technician), or Paramedic.
• Required Experience for MA: 6 years as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations.
• Assist Site Manager and physicians with the successful operations of the clinical staff, procedures, and treatment.
• Support the physician's office health care team.
• Answer phones and screen patient's chart prior to appointment.
• Interview patients and prepare them for examinations and other procedures.
• Assist the physician during the exam.
• Administer injections and perform any necessary lab work or testing.
• Follow up on test orders and report results to the physician and patient.
• Provide patient education.
• Maintain medical equipment and take inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
