About The Position

The Clinical Concierge position at Texas Health involves providing outstanding customer service to guide patients and visitors through their entire experience in the Urgent Care Clinic. This role requires floating across multiple Texas Health Urgent Care locations and includes assisting with clinical functions, front and back-office duties, and working closely with the provider and other clinical team members. The position entails working full-time with three 12-hour shifts a week from 7:45 AM to 8:15 PM.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant in lieu of the completion of a Medical Assistant education program Required.
  • Successful completion of a Vocational Nurse program Required.
  • 6 months of previous health care facility clinical experience as a LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care experience or completion of an internal THR MA externship training program in lieu of experience Required.
  • Previous experience with electronic health record preferred.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support maintained every 2 years and required prior to providing independent patient care Upon Hire Required.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant in lieu of the completion of a Medical Assistant education program or LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse State of Texas, if LVN Upon Hire Required.

Responsibilities

  • Guide consumers and their secondary guests through the entire urgent care visit to enhance the consumer experience.
  • Assist the provider with care and treatment, laboratory testing, and other clinical duties.
  • Perform patient registration, collection of payments, rooming, and patient discharge.
  • Collect identification and payor related documentation, conducting registration using EPIC workflow.
  • Measure and document vitals and communicate the resulting data to the consumer and provider.
  • Document chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC.
  • Perform and document laboratory testing and collections per provider orders.
  • Administer and document oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate medication verification workflow.
  • Assist provider with procedures including maintaining sterile field and laceration repair.
  • Build trust and relationships with consumers and secondary guests in line with patient experience standards.
  • Recognize and notify provider immediately of emergent patients and perform BLS.
  • Schedule primary care referrals for consumers.
  • Maintain office supplies, medical supplies, and medications at appropriate par levels.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the facility per established policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
