About The Position

The co-op program is an educational and clinical work experience for high school students. The individual is responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of patient care tasks. The performance of tasks allows the care team to provide quality care.

Requirements

• High school student enrolled in a co-op program.
• Ability to perform a wide range of patient care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Focus on providing patient care within a clinical scope of practice.
• Fulfill designated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care (non-assessment).
• Identify, observe, and document the physical needs of the patient according to standards.
• Assist with patient transfer and transport as needed.
• Assist in problem solving, troubleshooting, and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Assist in clerical responsibilities as required for task completion.
• Suggest issues for improvement and offer solutions on issues.
• Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
