About The Position

The Clinical Child Psychology Fellow will work under the supervision of KUSM-W faculty psychologists to obtain advanced competency in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. The fellow will provide quality patient care to children and adolescents in the outpatient clinic. The fellow will develop a plan for didactics training experiences with the faculty supervisor at the beginning of the year, which may include attendance at Grand Rounds, journal club, national conferences and other relevant experiences agreed on by the fellow and supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology in an APA accredited psychology program by date of hire.
  • Must have completed an APA accredited psychology internship program by date of hire.
  • Must be able to practice and obtain temporary license in the State of Kansas as a licensed psychologist by date of hire.
  • Must be eligible to take the licensing exam for clinical psychologist during the first year of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide child and adolescent clinical psychology services under faculty supervision in the faculty outpatient clinics at KUSM-W.
  • Services may include assessment, group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy sessions.
  • Involvement in scholarly activity or research projects under faculty supervision.
