About The Position

The Clinical Business Analyst - Level III position at NYC Health + Hospitals involves assisting in the planning, organizing, and supervising of Revenue Cycle functions and activities related to financial investigations, billing, and collections. The role requires daily oversight of front and backend work queues, working with departments to enhance point-of-service collections, and providing training on best practices. The analyst will report on financial impacts to the Revenue Cycle and create workflows to improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree or advanced clinical degree and two years of relevant experience, or a Baccalaureate Degree and five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for software in clinical or healthcare settings.
  • Specialty certification(s) may be credited toward required work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities to generate revenue opportunities.
  • Report findings to departments on trends and issues impacting revenue.
  • Daily review of reimbursement, charges, and payments for all specialties.
  • Participate in daily review of accounts to correct errors and bill appropriately.
  • Oversee financial impacts to Revenue Cycle.
  • Report trends and issues to departments.
  • Run reports and interpret Revenue Cycle data.
  • Facilitate and increase POS collections at practice sites.
  • Train staff on Revenue Cycle issues.
  • Follow up with departments to resolve issues.
  • Develop and implement new procedures to improve office routines.
  • Direct and review scheduling work and office routines.
