As a Clinical Audiologist at our Beachwood Family Health Center, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered audiologic care to support hearing, communication, and overall quality of life. This role focuses primarily on adult diagnostic evaluations and hearing aid services, with some pediatric hearing testing. You will perform diagnostic audiological procedures to assess hearing sensitivity, auditory pathway function, and communicative abilities, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation for all services provided. The Clinical Audiologist is expected to demonstrate expertise in comprehensive audiologic evaluations and amplification, delivering best-practice hearing assessments and hearing aid services through a family-centered care approach. Strong communication skills, clinical excellence, and a commitment to high-quality patient care are essential to success in this role. A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00am—5:00pm.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Audiology (AuD)
  • Eligible for an Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology
  • Hold Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within new hire period and maintain CCCs throughout employment
  • Must be able to assist patients with mobility problems.
  • Good hand dexterity to manipulate small objects associated with hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.
  • Ability to push carts which carry audiology test equipment.
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment s required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a fast-paced ENT practice
  • Pediatric and adult patient experience

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis to provide counseling and education about hearing loss, hearing aids and communication to patients and their families.
  • Perform electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids.
  • Perform hearing aid checks and minor repairs of hearing aids.
  • Provide direct and indirect supervision of student externs, clinical fellows, fourth-year Au.D students and otolaryngology residents, as requested.
  • Assist with planning, budget, service or project development, fee setting, purchase of new equipment or materials.
  • Perform daily and monthly equipment checks and biological calibrations.
  • Assist with electroacoustic calibration of equipment, as needed.
