The trainer works closely with the supervising physician by assisting in maintaining clinic flow, patient education, and assisting with office procedures. The athletic trainer is also responsible for carrying out other clinic duties and clerical responsibilities as detailed below, supporting clinic operations and delivering high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in collaboration with a supervising physician and the clinical care team. . We are seeking a licensed and BOC-certified Athletic Trainer to support our orthopedic clinics in Lebanon and Mount Juliet. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside top orthopedic specialists in a dynamic, patient-centered environment . What You’ll Do Collaborate directly with orthopedic physicians to assist in patient evaluations, treatments, and follow-up care. Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and post-operative recovery. Document clinical findings and maintain accurate medical records. Travel between clinic locations to ensure seamless care and support. Contribute to a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork.

  • Educate the patients about risks associated with participation and specific activities using effective communication techniques to minimize the risk of injury and illness.
  • Performs assessment of patient’s injury, illness, or condition, performs appropriate evaluation in accordance with accepted procedures and shares assessment findings with the supervising physician.
  • Administers therapeutic and conditioning exercise(s) using standard techniques and procedures to facilitate recovery, function and/or performance.
  • Educate patients in the treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of injuries, illness, and/or conditions using applicable methods and materials to facilitate recovery, function, and/or performance.
  • Perform patient intake including, where appropriate, obtaining/documenting the following prior to the physician’s examination.
  • Provide assistance to the physician, per the physician’s directions, with joint aspirations/injections, wound care, and home exercise instruction.
  • Perform durable medical equipment (DME) fittings and application and cast removal and application.
  • Perform other specified tasks within the athletic training scope of practice as directed by the physician.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Current Tennessee Athletic Trainer License and BOC Certification.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for helping others and a commitment to clinical excellence.

  • Bachelor's
