About The Position

The Clinical Associate I position is focused on assisting clients in gaining and maintaining stability through support in their environment. This includes establishing ties with peer groups, activities, and advocacy networks as part of the Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program. The role involves monitoring clients' life skills, mobilizing community resources, and providing crisis intervention when necessary. The Clinical Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate clinical records and engaging in teamwork to ensure effective service delivery. Additionally, the position requires developing relationships with community agencies and providing problem-solving support to clients.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and document in English.
  • Ability to hear effectively in conversations and meetings.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands physically and mentally.
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work with the chronically mentally ill.
  • Ability to assess mental status changes.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to keep client information confidential.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Possesses a valid Alaska Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Assists client in gaining/maintaining stability by increasing support in the client's environment.
  • Helps clients meet overall goals identified in treatment plans, including employment, housing, education, and personal relationships.
  • Monitors client's life skills functioning and assists in areas of need.
  • Mobilizes community resources and assists clients in accessing personal resources to alleviate crises.
  • Provides crisis intervention when necessary and alerts team members if a higher level of care is needed.
  • Keeps accurate and complete clinical records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Engages in teamwork functions to provide a professional environment and effective service delivery.
  • Develops cooperative relationships with community agencies, family members, and physicians.
  • Provides problem-solving and supportive listening.
  • Understands and abides by all Corporate Compliance, HIPAA, and Security policies.
