Requirements
- A motivated, team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A passion for patient care and interest in sports medicine or orthopedics
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to travel between clinic locations throughout the week
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education preferred
- Proficiency with email and internet-based applications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively educate patients
- One of the following licensure/certifications required: Athletic Trainer: BOC certification and State of Tennessee AT license Registered Nurse (RN): Active State of Tennessee RN license Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Active State of Tennessee LPN license Medical Assistant: Certification or registration through an accredited national institution
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms to ensure an efficient and smooth clinic flow
- Assist providers by gathering patient history and updating electronic medical records
- Support clinical procedures such as suture removal, injection preparation, and brace fitting
- Communicate patient conditions, injuries, and updates clearly with providers
- Coordinate and schedule surgeries and follow-up appointments
- Educate patients on treatment plans, both in person and over the phone
- Accurately document office visits and patient interactions
- Help carry out physician orders to support high-quality patient care
