About The Position

The Department of Periodontology at the Indiana University School of Dentistry ( IUSD ) is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time clinical assistant professor position. This will be a 12-month appointment at either 0.80 or 1.0 FTE , with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026, or sooner. These characteristics and abilities are essential because the primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will include didactic and clinical instruction within the graduate periodontics program as well as for predoctoral dental students. An intramural or extramural private practice option is also available. Participation in and initiation of research efforts are strongly encouraged. Our main facility includes a state-of-the-art 45,000–square-foot James J. Fritts DDS Clinical Care Center on the IU-Indianapolis campus, adjacent to local hospitals and part of an urban academic health center. In 2026, we will open our newly renovated Delta Dental Special Care Clinic to enhance our ability to train oral health professionals and provide care for patients with disabilities, including those with complex craniofacial disorders and medical complexity in an interdisciplinary setting.
