About The Position

The School of Nursing Graduate Nursing Program at Austin Peay State University (APSU) invites applications for the position to coordinate activities of the Psychiatric Mental Health Medication Management Clinic and Clinical Assistant Professor. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track, 3-year renewable position with expectation of summer clinic work with an accompanied stipend. The Psychiatric Mental Health Medication Management Clinic provides essential mental health services to APSU students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. The position will oversee clinic operations, see patients for psychiatric medication management, precept graduate nursing students, and teach up to six credit hours of clinically based graduate nursing courses in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. This dual role combines administrative leadership with academic responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to student education, directly engage in patient care, and promote community health. This role requires ensuring that the clinic complies with state and federal laws, professional standards, and TN Board of Nursing requirements. It also involves providing high-quality care to patients as a nurse practitioner while guaranteeing that all psychological services delivered to the public are supervised by a licensed physician. Additionally, this position will play a key role in planning, developing, and maintaining comprehensive services that align with the mission of the School of Nursing.
