About The Position

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible Assistant Professor position focusing on outpatient electrodiagnostic services. The successful candidate must be proficient in performing electromyography-nerve conduction studies. The candidate will also provide, on a rotational basis, night and weekend coverage in the UVA Encompass Health JV Rehabilitation Hospital.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• Commitment to a career in academic medicine
• Interest in combining clinical practice with resident education and/or research

Responsibilities

• Perform electromyography-nerve conduction studies
• Provide night and weekend coverage in the UVA Encompass Health JV Rehabilitation Hospital on a rotational basis
