About The Position

The University of Arkansas is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor of Counselor Education and Supervision for a 9-month, non-tenure track position. The role involves teaching graduate courses in the counselor education and supervision program, serving as clinical coordinator, supervising counselors in training, engaging in service activities at various levels, and participating in public service and professional/scholarly organizations. Regular attendance and the ability to maintain collegial relationships are essential job duties.

Requirements

  • An earned doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited institution in counselor education and supervision or closely related field conferred by the start of employment
  • Commitment to effective graduate teaching and clinical supervision
  • Commitment to the preparation of counselors and counselor educators
  • Eligibility for Arkansas state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Doctoral-level preparation and/or experience in clinical supervision
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality

Nice To Haves

  • Counseling experience in clinical mental health
  • Experience in supervising counselors in training
  • Experience in clinical coordination or internship placement experience
  • Teaching experience in counselor education and supervision

Responsibilities

  • Teach graduate courses in the counselor education and supervision program
