The Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Department of Computer Science, beginning September 1, 2026. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, renewable position. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, pursue scholarly and professional activities, and contribute to departmental and university service. Candidates with expertise in any area of computer science are encouraged to apply. The Department of Computer Science offers bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Science and Mathematics, Cybersecurity, and Data Science and Machine Learning, as well as master's degrees in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Data Science. Concentration areas include Artificial Intelligence, Gaming and Graphics, Leadership and Innovation in Computing, Medical Devices, Networking and Security, and Web Engineering. Faculty research spans a wide range of areas such as AI, autonomous vehicles, cloud computing, computational algebra, cyber-physical systems, cybersecurity, high-performance architecture, information theory, logic, programming languages, parallel heterogeneous computing systems, and security and privacy. The department is housed in the recently constructed Science and Innovation Center, featuring state-of-the-art academic and research facilities, including a $1.5 million high-performance computing (HPC) cluster. The department is committed to supporting the research and professional development of all full-time faculty members.
