About The Position

At Upstate Medical University we believe in providing the full spectrum of medical care for our patients. Our nephrology department is the only university-based program in Syracuse, New York, and is currently expanding to meet the needs of the area. We have hiring opportunities for board-certified or board-eligible general nephrologists, with an immediate academic appointment. The nephrology program provides comprehensive kidney care in the region, including kidney transplantation. Immediate dialysis rounding opportunities are available. Teaching involves medical students, residents, and five nephrology fellows. Join our team of comprehensive nephrology care at a high-volume practice with dedicated APP support.

Requirements

• Board certified or Board eligible in nephrology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive kidney care including chronic, acute, and home dialysis therapies.
• Participate in kidney and pancreas transplant program.
• Teach medical students, residents, and nephrology fellows.
• Engage in immediate dialysis rounding opportunities.
